Start with your supply, not the charger
The first question on any commercial project is how much spare capacity your building really has. Adding ten 22kW chargers to a site already running air conditioning, kitchens or production equipment can push the supply past its limit.
Our site survey looks at your incoming supply, distribution boards and existing loads, then designs the charging around them. Where capacity is tight, dynamic load management shares the available power between chargers and backs off automatically when the building needs it. In many cases that avoids an expensive supply upgrade altogether.
If an upgrade is needed, we'll explain the options and liaise with UK Power Networks on your behalf.
Choosing the right charge points
- 7kW AC. Ideal for staff who park all day. Long dwell time makes slower charging perfectly practical.
- 11kW to 22kW AC (three-phase). Faster turnaround for pool cars, visitors and shorter stays.
- DC rapid charging. For fleets and public sites where vehicles need to charge in under an hour. Larger supply and groundworks are usually involved.
We'll also help you decide who can use the chargers and how. Smart charge points can be restricted to staff, opened to visitors, or set up to bill users through the charger's back-office platform.
Installed around your operation
Commercial installs often involve trenching across car parks, mounting bollards or wall units and working near people and vehicles. We plan the work to keep your site running, phase installations by car park zone where needed, and schedule supply connections and shutdowns out of hours.
Our engineers follow your sign-in and permit-to-work procedures, and keep work areas fenced and clearly signed.
Compliance built in
Every charge point is installed and tested to BS 7671 Section 722 and meets the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021. You'll receive Electrical Installation Certificates, commissioning records and as-installed drawings, which your insurer, landlord or facilities team will want for their records. We also notify the network operator of each connection.
Keep chargers earning their place
A broken charger is worse than no charger: staff can't rely on it and visitors leave frustrated. We offer EV charger repairs and servicing, and charge points can be added to a wider planned maintenance contract for your site.
